In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) involves a multi-week process in which eggs are removed from a female’s ovaries, fertilized with sperm in a petri dish, grown inside a lab (usually 5 days), then transferred into the female’s uterus to develop for the remainder of gestation.
Many researches indicate that IVF-conceived children are on par with the general population in academic achievement as well as with regards to behavioral and psychological health.
In most cases IVF Procedure goes on for 16-17 Days (with day 1 aligned to female’s menstrual cycle) and it’s a day care procedure.
However, treatment begins only after initial fertility testing, which includes assessing your ovarian reserve or egg quality, uterine cavity evaluation, and semen analysis, which may involve 1 week of prior assessment.
In the case of Frozen embryos (FET), transfers usually happen approximately 3-4 weeks after retrieval, depending on when your post-retrieval menses starts.
Each phase of an IVF is inherently variable and will be customized specifically for you.
Each patient has a different response to the IVF process, and what may be considered painful to some may not be painful to others. Some parts of the process such as injections or egg retrieval can cause some discomfort, but it is usually manageable.
IVF Cost depends upon multiple factors like reason for male & female infertility, treatment method/technology suggested, any pre-existing medical conditions, additional treatments & services like donor egg/sperm or genetic testing (if required)
